Stewed carrots

Ingredients for 3-4 persons:
350 gr grated carrot on extra coarse grater;
a pinch of coriander (or its chopped  leaves);
a pinch of dry chilli (or half of green chilli);
2.5 cm finely chopped fresh ginger;
1 clove chopped garlic;
1 table spoon of unsweetened coconut flakes;
150 ml water;
0.5-1  table spoon of  ghi;
0.5 tsp black mustard seeds;
0.5 tsp cumin seeds;
1 pinch of asafoetida;
a quarter teaspoon of salt.

Blend coriander, chilli, ginger, garlic, coconut, water to a liquid state.

In preheated pan with a thick bottom, put ghi, mustard seeds, asafoetida and cumin, and heated up until the seeds begin to crackle. At this point, pour in the pan the contents of the blender, add salt and fry until light brown.

After that add the carrots, cover and stew about 10 minutes, stirring occasionally on medium fire.
