Apple and blackcurrant pie



Ingredients

  • Rye flour - 180 g.
  • Whole-wheat flour - 350 g.
  • Baking powder - 0.5 tsp
  • Ginger powder - 0.5 tbsp
  • Cardamom powder - 1 tbsp
  • Carnation powder - 1 teaspoon.
  • Star anise powder of 2 stars
  • Cinnamon ground - 1 tbsp
  • Sugar - 1 glass
  • Vanilla sugar - 1 tablespoon
  • Oil - 50 ml.
  • Water - 250 ml

For pie filling

  • Black currant - 2.5 cups
  • Apples - 3
  • Sugar - 3 tbsp
For the dough - first mix all dry ingredients. Then pour oil in and mix to make the oil crumb.

Then gradually pour cold water into the dough. We knead the dough to make it elastic. Do not pour a lot of water, we do not need too soft dough. If you see that the dough is too soft and loose, then you can add a bit of flour. 

Now we prepare the filling for the pie.
To grated apples, add currants and sugar. Mix the apples with currants and sugar.

Take a piece of dough (about 2/3 of the whole dough), roll it and cover the bottom of the baking dish.
We put the filling and distribute it evenly.
We take another piece of dough, form a ball from it and roll it along the diameter of the mold to cover the cake. A small piece of dough is left - it will be needed for decoration.
From the rest of the dough, we cut out the figures and decorate them the whole pie.

We bake a pie at a temperature of 180 degrees for 40 minutes.
