Wallonia

Belgium is a country with two language zones - Dutch and French. We are visiting Wallonia region where people greet - Bonjour madam and if somebody speaks Dutch or English, then he/she is tourist. Though I don't speak charming French, it is also good - all languages that I already know plus gestures help, and of course if you want to understand
each other, you will succeed in it. ... Especially when you are seller :)) By the way in the village Stoumont the nearest shop is 800 metres down the hill and the seller there is example of gracious in gestures when he explains difference between (by the way Dutch) apples for eating and for "compot". Only making such shoppings is a pleasant way to learn French language - Bonjour madam et missieur, merci beaucoup, au revoir, exscuse moi, sivouple. In one word - they are very polite. When you are visiting cafes or boulangerie / patisserie, your language vocabulary becomes richer - Un cafe et thé / infusion sans sucre et lait.

What was special that for every order of cookies or cakes, they serve it with liquor, even for small children. I didn't understand this conception. And here are the photo reports of what was cooked or ordered in bakery.

Our favorite ''La Gaterie''

They also put crowns on the bakery. Why ???...

Bon appétit!
